Our HR Consultant partners with you to address systemic HR needs. Using a person-focused perspective about what it takes to be a healthy and productive workplace, we guide you through a structured process:

Assess - Plan - Implement - (repeat)

Do you have an underdeveloped or fragmented HR infrastructure? We will help you develop and implement sustainable policies and practices.

Are there employee engagement concerns? We help you discover themes and specific issues, and then develop a plan to meaningfully address them.

Other Human Resources needs? We can help.

Offered on a retainer basis with a minimum commitment of 3 months.

Project-based HR Support

When you do not have enough time, knowledge, or experience to accomplish an HR goal, we can help. Offered on a fee-for-service basis, we bring the same strategic guidance and practical assistance to the following:

  • HR Compliance Assessment (with actionable summary and HR tools, checklists, and templates)

  • Employee Handbook (update or create)

  • Recruitment (process or for a position)

  • On-boarding (process and tools)

  • Performance Improvement (process and tools)

  • Work Performance Evaluation (process and tools)

  • Off-boarding (process and tools)

  • Compensation Review (are your pay practices equitable?)

Sustained HR Consultation

Many of our long-term clients find peace of mind and value having access to our support and expertise. Once we get to know an employer’s policies and practices (after People, Culture, Compliance work or an HR Assessment) we can remain engaged through the following:

  • Employee engagement survey or interviews (if 5 or fewer employees) OR consult with employer on these

  • Annual review of employee handbook, with updates

  • Conduct employee exit interviews OR consult with employer on these

  • One workshop of the employer’s choosing

  • Up to one hour per month for HR consultation on topics as they arise (more than one hour will be billed at our engaged client hourly rate)

Offered as a minimal retainer with additional support available when needed.

Coaching

We help our clients clarify their goals or what is “stuck” for them, discover what will help move them forward, remain accountable to themselves, and recognize how they evolve in the process. Coaching can be effective when a client is personally motivated to work with this type of support and is not appropriate for everyone or every situation. We provide Leadership and Individual coaching.

Coaching is available as part of our retainer-based HR Consultation or as a stand-alone service.

Team Facilitation

How a team functions has a big impact on a workplace. We know this, and yet many employers invest little to no time or resources into ensuring their teams are highly functioning. Employers invest in infrastructure, marketing, and operations but often overlook investing in the very people who are necessary for their company or organization to be successful. Our support provides teams with the knowledge and skills they need to:

  • Have productive meetings

  • Navigate competing priorities

  • Manage team tensions or conflicts

  • Recognize and value each member’s contributions

  • Share power and decision-making

Empower employees to address interpersonal friction with skills to manage conflicts.
